Brehob (Dearborn, MI) - See all my reviews    This review is from: Barbar ECO-8000 Professional 1000 Watt Blow Dryer (Health and Beauty) Just by calling the dryer eco-friendly isn't convincing to me. It uses 1000 W. I use my 1500 W dryer at a lower heat setting, thereby using less than 1500 W, probably close to 1000 W. Unless this dryer is so effective that it is able to dry my hair in less time, it is using exactly the same amount of electricity as my inexpensive blow dryer (that I already own), when used at the lower heat setting.
